Hi Buddies,
This is one of the easiest/instant breakfast recipes. Aashu is a big fan of dosas and he wants to have it after he comes back from his school. When I don’t have batter ready, this recipe comes to my rescue. It’s very healthy too (needless to say it’s oats 🙂 ). Also, there is no preparation (soaking, fermentation) required and could be made in 5-10 minutes. I add tomatoes to get nice color and flavor. Try this simple and tasty recipe.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
No of Servings: 4
Ingredients:
Oats: 1 ½ cup
Tomatoes: 2 (Big)
Cilantro: few
Onions: 1
Turmeric: pinch
Green Chili: 1
Oil: little
Salt: As per taste
Water: 3-4 tbsp.
Method:
- Take plain oats and grind it to fine powder.
- Wash and cut tomatoes and add it to powdered oats and blend it with little water.
- Add turmeric, salt, cilantro, chopped green chili to batter. Use little water if you have to adjust the consistency.
- Keep finely chopped onions ready.
- Heat a pan on medium flame.
- After a minute, pour batter and spread it evenly.
- Top it with chopped onions and add a 1 tsp. of oil (I skip it totally when I use non-stick pan) and cover it with lid.
- After it turns brown, turn it and slightly fry the other side too.
- Take it into a plate and serve it with peanut/coconut chutney.
